Summary

We’re excited to share that Yousign has officially earned B Corp certification! This prestigious recognition, awarded by the non-profit organization B Lab, highlights companies that prioritize making a positive social and environmental impact.

But what does this mean in practice? What steps did we take to achieve B Corp certification? Keep reading to learn more!

What is B Corp certification?

B Corp, short for "B Corporation," is a certification awarded to companies that meet strict social and environmental performance standards. Achieving this certification requires completing a rigorous evaluation across five key categories:

  • Governance: Commitment to ethics, transparency, and responsible management.
  • Employees: Programs and initiatives designed to support employees' financial, physical, professional, and social well-being.
  • Community: Efforts to drive social and economic development within the communities the company serves.
  • Environment: Actions taken to protect and preserve the environment.
  • Customers: Strategies to maximize the value delivered to customers and end-users through the company’s products and services.

Organizations that achieve B Corp certification are re-evaluated every three years to ensure they continue to meet or exceed the rigorous standards set by the B Corp community.

How to become a B Corp company?

At Yousign, trust is at the heart of everything we do, empowering companies and individuals to create stronger, more secure agreements. By joining the global network of 8,900 B Corp-certified companies, we reaffirm our commitment to developing robust and forward-thinking HR and CSR strategies.

To achieve B Corp certification, a dedicated task force worked for several months to implement concrete measures. These efforts were supported by multiple teams, including Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Tech, and Management. Here are some of the key actions that enabled us to obtain certification:

  • For governance: We strive to promote gender parity within our executive committee and top management while ensuring financial transparency for all employees.
  • For our employees: We provide 100% health insurance coverage for employees, their spouses, and children, maintain transparent wage scales, offer stock option plans (BSPCE) to all team members, and provide 4 free consultations per year with a mental health professional through Moka Care.
  • For the community: We have established an internal Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Council and introduced a “Charity Day,” giving employees one paid day per year to participate in volunteer work.
  • For the environment: We have implemented a responsible purchasing policy, serve 100% vegetarian meals at team events, and eliminated the use of paper documents.
  • For our customers: We ensure high-quality service, prioritize data confidentiality with transparent internal policies, and continuously measure customer satisfaction through feedback.

For our customers and partners, this certification underscores our commitment to building a company that values people and delivers top-quality services while upholding the highest standards of fairness and transparency.

And this is just the beginning! While we’re proud to celebrate this milestone, our goal is to improve our score by the next assessment in three years. We aim to make progress across all domains evaluated by B Corp, with a particular focus on diversity, inclusion, and environmental impact. To support this effort, we’ve recently launched task forces and awareness campaigns addressing these areas.

B Corp certification is not just a one-time achievement—it’s a long-term commitment. Companies are encouraged to continuously improve to embody the B Corp vision: creating a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable economy for both people and the planet.
